You can’t decide how people will remember you after you’re gone. But your purpose in life which defines your work will definitely decide how the world will remember you. And Siddaganga Mutt seer Sri Shivakumara Swamiji was not just a seer in saffron. He led his life as a revolutionary, pushing the boundaries of tradition. He became a ray of hope for lakhs of young minds lying in the darkness of poverty. He fed them and kept the hunger for knowledge in them alive for life. The stories coming from different sections of society after his departure make us believe that he was truly a walking God!
Whenever I came across a Siddaganga Institute, I would always wonder, what would have happened to those thousands of students studying there, if someone hadn’t stretched a hand of help. After I did this cartoon today, I have been getting lots of messages from people who worship him and owe their life to the seer.
