Pakistan allowed Kulbhushan Jadhav’s mother and wife to meet him as a staged ‘grand gesture’. The meeting was held behind a glass door over intercom. The two important ladies of Jadhav’s life were made to remove mangalsutra and shoes and change their dresses. Surprisingly the Pakistan authorities refused to return the shoes of Jadhav’s wife, suspecting that there was something hidden in the shoe!
