There’s a race among political parties to waive off farmer loans, after the success of Congress in Hindi heartland states like Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Chattisgarh. The focus on farmers by the political leaders is a good sign. But the middle class is feeling left out, as most of the political parties have either totally neglected them or remembered them only during the elections.
