Now it’s time to share a little bit about ideas. Though it’s tough to explain the birth of a cartoon idea, I can share about the background of this idea.
As you know PM Modi waved a victory sign after it was clear that BJP is going to retain power in Gujarat. But everyone knew that BJP was lucky to survive. BJP had secured 115 seats in 2012, but came down to 99 this time. I wanted to show that concern in Modi’s victory sign(using that symbol). My initial idea was to show Amit Shah and Modi in two fingers looking worried. But during the day, I was working on another idea for another client and had this idea about Amit Shah and Narendra Modi searching for the lost 16 seats. That number 16 rang a bell and reminded me of 56!
Suddenly I thought I should club the two ideas and make a better cartoon. So, the worried men were brought together!
